How we say thank you depends on who you are and what’s appropriate for your organisation. We always check first — procurement, gifts, and ethics rules matter in academia, and we respect them.
If you’re a client
Credit toward your own Tecology work — a month of Website Care, or money off your next project. The thank-you goes to your organisation, cleanly.
If you’re an academic
A charitable donation to a cause you choose. Generous, on the record, and never a personal inducement — the option most of our referrers prefer.
If you’re a partner
A straightforward referral fee where there’s no public-sector conflict — flat, or a share of the first project. Agreed up front, with light terms.
We say thank you when an introduction becomes a signed project — not just a lead — and the amount is agreed up front. Get in touch and we’ll talk through what works for you.
